ZD7BGSO HP ALLA very challenging contest. Pile-ups from start to end resulting in difficulty logging contact at times. Band conditions were fair on Saturday but poor on Sunday. En joyed the contest and look forward to next year
ZL2AGYSO HP ALLNice to have conditions improving at last! My K3/KPA500 and simple antennas did me well. Thanks to everyone for the QSOs, and hoping to do it all again next year
ZM1MSA HP 20MSomething needs to be done about stations with loud and wide key clicks, otherwise very enjoyable. Lost my keyboard coordination once or twice so sorry to those people during those hiccups. Could not believe how good condx were LP in the USA from down here
ZP6GGSO LP 15MThis was my first contest in many years.
ZR2A/4SO LP ALLRemote operation marred by Internet problems (choppy receive audio), thunderstorms and a massive electrical power failure on Saturday at 1630z until the end of the contest
ZS2DLSO HP ALLIts amazing what a few sunspots will do. Yet is it not strange how you never get 2 days of equal propogation! Great fun
ZS2NFSO LP ALLUsed an ICOM 736 barefoot (100 watts) to a Rudy Severns capacitively loaded EDZ for 80m at 20m high, an edz for 40m at 15m high, a 4el yagi at 22m for 20m, a 3 el yagi at 23m high for 15m and a 5 el yagi for 10m at 22m high. Initially I was not going to take the contest too seriously as I am going through chemotherapy which leads to weakness but as the contest went on I seemed to get a new lease of life and the conditions were not so bad so I decided to have a bit of a go at it. Nice to see 10m open after a fashion so the next sunspot cycle is certainly getting in its stride. The pile ups on 15m and 20m were quite challenging for me in my old age (68 years old) but managed ok. Ended up with a reasonably decent score so am happy with the result. Hope to still be around for next years contest!!!!
